For a rapidly growing internationally leading engineering company with nearly 5,000 employees and offices in 70 countries, specializing in the fields of energy, transportation, and environment, we are currently seeking a permanent full-time position for the Greater Frankfurt area:

Contract Engineer Hydropower (m/f/d)

Your Duties:

• As a Contract Engineer (m/f/d) for water and hydropower projects, you will work in collaboration with your project team from the German headquarters of our client (Rhein-Main area) and project offices worldwide to realize national and international energy projects.
• Your role will encompass the following tasks:
• You will be responsible for preparing and compiling tender documents for hydraulic structures, mostly based on FIDIC contract conditions, and conducting related contract negotiations.
• You will actively participate and provide guidance in interdisciplinary engineering project teams during execution projects concerning contractual matters (contract interpretation, variations, and disputes) as a representative of the client (Owner’s Engineer).
• You will review construction schedules and price claims from construction companies for their methodological accuracy.
• Occasional travel may be required as part of project and proposal activities.
• You will contribute to the preparation of technical proposals for engineering services and assist in contract negotiations.

Your qualifications:

• Completed degree in civil engineering with a focus on construction management or a degree in contract management.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally including several years abroad.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts.
• Project experience in international and German-speaking regions.
• Fluency in German and English for negotiations, additional foreign language skills are advantageous.
• Initial experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) would be desirable.
