Welcome to the Team, Strahinja Karanovic!

We are excited to welcome Strahinja Karanovic as the new Director of Digital Transformation
at Liberty Morgan (Germany) GmbH!
Strahinja completed his Bachelor of Science in Political Sciences at the University of Vienna in 2019 and earned his Master of Science in International Relations, specializing in IT Security and Renewable Energy Policy, at the University of Amsterdam in 2021. With years of experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant in international recruitment firms, he brings valuable expertise to the table.
In his new role, “Stra” will primarily focus on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Technology, and Cybersecurity, helping to drive our company forward in these innovative areas.
To introduce “Stra” better, we interviewed him and asked a few interesting questions!
Why did you choose Liberty Morgan, Stra?
„Liberty Morgan combines innovation with a clear vision for the digital future. The
opportunity to work with a dynamic team on highly relevant topics like AI, Big Data, and
Cybersecurity immediately convinced me. I see a real chance here to make an impact.“
How do you assess the importance of a fast digital transformation in Germany?
„Germany has enormous potential, but we are still lagging behind in some areas. A fast
digital transformation is crucial to remain internationally competitive. Companies must act
now—those who hesitate too long will be overtaken by the competition.“
Which of the topics—Big Data, AI, Cloud, or Cybersecurity—will be the most important
in the next five years?
“The interplay of all four areas will be crucial. But if I have to pick one, it would be AI—it
is already transforming how we work, analyze, and make decisions. Companies that use AI
intelligently will gain a clear competitive advantage.”
What do you think is the biggest challenge in digital transformation?
“Technology is not the problem—people and processes are. The biggest stumbling block is
often company culture: too much bureaucracy, too little willingness to change. Anyone who
truly wants to transform must be ready to break away from old structures.”
Which development in digital transformation fascinates you the most?
“The combination of AI and Cybersecurity. With the rapid development of artificial
intelligence, the risk of cyberattacks is also increasing. I find it exciting to see how these two
fields influence each other and how companies can protect themselves.”
If you could invent an app to make your life easier, what would it do?
“Definitely an app that tells me when I’ve forgotten my coffee cup and politely reminds me
not to leave it somewhere. I lose it at least three times a week!”
Which tech gadget can you not live without?
“My noise-canceling headphones—they are a lifesaver in my home office, especially when
the neighbors decide to renovate their walls. Also, I’ve often breathed a sigh of relief that my
car’s parking sensors work well!”
If you could spend a day in the future, which year would you choose and why?
“2049! I want to see if our society will look anything like it does in the movie Blade Runner
2049.”
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
“I can pretend to know how to dance for exactly 10 seconds—after that, it becomes
dangerous for me and everyone around me.”
