For a leading IT security company focused on the public sector, we are seeking—effective immediately—for a permanent position:

Senior IT Security Project Manager (m/f/d) – Germany

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end IT projects from design to completion
• Provide strategic advisory to public-sector clients
• Develop and implement tailored security strategies for government agencies
• Lead cross-functional project teams
• Conduct risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, and security evaluations
• Support proposal/tender activities and customer acquisition
• Oversee a broad IT security portfolio

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years’ experience managing IT security projects, ideally in the public sector
• HERMES project management certification (minimum Foundational, ideally Advanced)
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance
• Proven success delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in German (C1) and English (C1)
• University degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Willingness to travel to client sites
• Clean criminal record certificate
• Nice to have:
• Additional project management certifications (e.g., IPMA B/C, IREB, SAFe)
• Security-specific certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISMS)
• The position is full-time and can be performed remotely anywhere in Germany
