IT Security Engineer with a Network Focus (m/f/d), based in North Rhine–Westphalia (NRW)

For a leading provider of managed and professional IT security services, we are seeking—effective immediately—for a permanent position:

IT Security Engineer with a Network Focus (m/f/d), based in North Rhine–Westphalia (NRW)

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to exciting IT security projects and support security-relevant customer environments
• Monitor current technology trends and help shape solution concepts
• Assess threat landscapes and analyze/optimize existing infrastructures
• Advise on, design, implement, and operate SD-WAN, CASB, firewalls, web & email security, load balancers, remote access solutions, IAM, endpoint security, and other security and networking technologies
• Configure and fulfill service requests; minimize security and network incidents through controls and countermeasures

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, networking technologies, heterogeneous IT infrastructures and operating systems, as well as web technologies
• Expert knowledge and ideally certifications from the following vendors: Cisco, Cisco Firepower, F5 Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto, Microsoft, Gemalto/Thales
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with an interest in working in an international team
• Willingness for continuous learning and personal growth
• Fluent German and very good English skills
• The role is full-time and can be performed in a hybrid model between the company’s headquarters in the Cologne/Düsseldorf area and the employee’s residence in North Rhine–Westphalia (NRW)
